The Black Dragon Canyon trail will take you into the Swell to the famous Black Dragon petroglyph panel. This route is about 65 miles round trip and will take 6-8 hours. There are a couple of routes up onto the mesa near Hatts Ranch for further places to explore. The trail continues beyond the panel, into the heart of the Swell. This route would take you to places like Swaseys Cabin and the Devlis Race Track. We will leave that for another map. Parking is available at the Green River City park N200E Main St. Alternatively you could trailer to Highway 24 and park near Hatts Ranch. The marked parking is a designated trailhead, but it is little more than a wides pot on the dirt road. This route will give you access to a few good hiking spots like Tiptop Arch and Mystery Arch.
